A favorite performer of The Beehive’s, Brooklyn-based, multi-woodwind player Alec Spiegelman will return to New England on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 for a special performance with his new act, The Alec Spiegelman Trio. Joined by guitarist Mike Baggetta and drummer Mike Calabrese, this travelling trio will be bringing jazz to The ‘Hive. WHO: As a versatile saxophonist, clarinetist, flutist, and singer, Alec Spiegelman made contributions to every facet of the music scene in Boston. His diverse resume includes work with indie-rockers Apollo Sunshine and Audrey Ryan, classic soul band the Chicken Slacks Soul Revue, local R&B legend Little Joe Cook, pop-star Mandy Moore and new roots musicians, David Wax, Miss Tess, and Eilen Jewell.
