An incredible menu awaits guests of the Natick Community Organic Farm’s 8th Annual Harvest Dinner and Auction on Monday, September 20 at the Wellesley College Club, 727 Washington Street in Wellesley, Massachusetts. An amazing meal featuring organic and local vegetables, fruits, meats, maple syrup, beverages, and cheeses from Natick Community Organic Farm and other area producers. Dinner stations will include microbrew bar, a raw veg bar, a tomato bar, cooked-to-order sustainably caught fish and seafood, humanely-raised meats, and certified-organic vegetables, and a dessert bar. Guests will be invited to bid on auction items, including stays at green inns, gift certificates to restaurants serving local food, green spa packages, and a number of other environmentally friendly and locally-made products. Additional items will be auctioned off online September 14 through 21. All proceeds will support the Teen Work Summer Program, an apprenticing and mentoring program for teenagers ages fourteen to sixteen. Teens involved in the program gain a wide array of skills including carpentry and mechanics. They are also able to gain a sense of community, independence, and accomplishment, all while earning competitive wages, helping the environment, and forming healthy social relationships with their peers and mentoring adults.
