Don’t let your sexy, svelte, summer self “fall” victim to the season! This autumn join the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) and Masa Restaurant for “Latin Mondays,” a night of Latin-inspired food and dance classes to keep you feeling hot, hot, hot! The temperature will start to rise at 6:00PM with “Salsa for Beginners,” where students will learn the basics of the sensual style. At 8:00PM things heat up with “Latin Dance Basics,” where students will learn various Latin styles including salsa, meringue and tango. After class, what better way to cool down than with a refreshing cocktail or tapas at Masa Restaurant, located just minutes from the BCAE? All students enrolled in the BCAE’s “Latin Mondays” will receive 20% off of their bill on Monday nights at Masa Restaurant during the 6 week duration of the class. *Please Note: this does not include tax, gratuity of alcohol. After you’ve mastered the moves at the BCAE, practice them at Masa's Salsa Thursdays! Both “Salsa for Beginners” and “Latin Dance Basics” are separate, 6 session, classes, but students are encouraged to sign up for both! Salsa for Beginners: The hottest of the Latin American dances, Salsa is characterized by explosive movements and its lively, sensuous beat. This beginner’s class is for those who have little to no experience with salsa dancing. Please note: students are encouraged to wear leather-soled shoes. *Please Note: This class will not meet on the following days: 10/11/2010 Starting Monday, September 13, 2010 and ending on October 25, 2010 from 6:00PM-7:00PM (6 sessions). Non Members: $125.00, Member Cost: $115.00 Latin Dance Basics: Learn the salsa, the merengue, the tango, the bachata and more! This introductory course will teach you footwork, partnering techniques and combinations, and the rhythms for each of these dance styles. Meant for beginners, this class will introduce the universal elements of partner dancing, body movements, isolations and styling. Starting Monday, September 13, 2010 and ending October 25, 2010 from 8:00PM-9:00PM (6 sessions).
