Uganda's impressive system of National Parks and Reserves showcases the astonishing diversity of habitats and wildlife found in this country where the East African savanna meets the West African jungle. Journey on a circuit of these parks ranging from the panoramic grasslands of Kidepo Valley National Park in the remote arid northeast to a string of parks on the edge of the Western Rift Valley with vast lakes and primate-rich forests. A highlight is the 25,000 year-old ancient rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the verdant southwest. Here, half of the world's Mountain Gorillas live in the shadows of the Virunga volcanoes. Encounters with these gentle giants is a rare privilege and is arguably the most exhilarating wildlife encounter Africa has to offer!

Location-themed dinner and lecture or lecture only. Dinner at 6:30 pm, Lecture at 7:30 pm. Pre-registration required for dinner.
