Camera Eye Seminar II
September 11 - October 30, 2010
Camera Eye Photography Seminar II is a continuation of Camera Eye Seminar I and serves as an advanced course for those who already have created a portfolio and want to further develop their visual talents. The course is a month long workshop where students will explore photographic seeing and visual thinking in depth. In a small class setting we will focus on strenghtening conceptual terms and the development of each individual’s unique way of seeing into a consistent photographic style. Guest artists and critics from our local arts community and beyond will be invited to discuss individual portfolios accompanied by field trips to artists’ studios, galleries, or museums. Each class consists of review and critique of student’s photographs, slide lecture and discussion, assignments for next class and/ or field trip option. The course is open to anyone who seeks to develop their visual skills in photography in depth and those with existing portfolios interested in greater visual and conceptual sophistication.
