    Children & Teens Woodworking Classes

Presented by at Eliot School of Fine and Applied Arts

    October 1, 2010 - March 25, 2011

    Children & Teens Woodworking Classes

Our woodworking program welcomes students ages 4 to 17. As students gain experience, they build skills and familiarity with tools and materials. Younger children start with hand tools and small projects; continuing students undertake more complex projects, gaining appreciation for wood as a creative medium. Teens advance to shop etiquette, milling, joinery, layout and basic power tools. Teens 17 and up may join our adult

Each class incorporates beginners and experienced students, with new projects each session. Small classes allow for ample individual attention. All classes emphasize safety and the pleasure of making things and completing them to take home. Materials are provided for small projects; for larger projects, instructors will advise students to bring their own. Parents are welcome to stay if they wish.
