A painter and multi-media artist, Anna Schuleit has focused much of the last decade on transforming abandoned historic sites and structures through site-specific installations. Her current body of work returns her to painting, in which she explores figural representation through distinctive lines, shapes and gestures. Schuleit studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and has been an artist-in-residence and guest lecturer at MIT, Smith, Brown, and Bowdoin universities. Schuleit has been the recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and the MacArthur Foundation, among other prestigious awards. Part of the BU School of Visual Arts' annual Contemporary Perspectives Lecture Series.

Lecture is free and open to the public. Call 617-353-3371 for information.
