Fleeting Dream | Chun Arthur Wang
September 13 - November 29, 2010
Reception: Thursday, September 23, 6-8PM
Chun Arthur Wang’s work reflects his traveling experience and personal recollection of rural life in the minority areas of China. His focus is on the lives and sentiments of country people as a symbol of both traditional culture and a clean environment–a sharp contrast to present day urban China.
Combining Western traditional oil language with the influences of Buddhist and Chinese folk art, Wang’s paintings also explore many Chinese art concepts – subjective color, geometric forms, reorganized linear qualities and decorative patterns.
