When offered a miraculous cure to restore her father's sight, a poor young girl sacrifices everything she knows and is swept up in an adventure that takes her from her small village to a fantastic undersea world. Based on a traditional Korean folk-tale, Sunfish combines the energy of Wicked with the magic of The Little Mermaid.

A World Premiere Featuring Rocio Valles, Music by Hyeyoung Kim, Lyrics by Michael Cooper, Book by Michael Cooper & Hyeyoung Kim, Music Direction by John Howrey, Directed by Caitlin Lowans.

While the acting & the singing were both good, the material was not. Play was too slow. Usually, we find the productions at the Stoneham Theatre quite entertaining. Sadly, this was not one of them.
