The best-selling musical in Stoneham Theatre history is back! Sisters of Swing tells the amazing story of The Andrews Sister - LaVerne, Maxene, and Patty. This musical tour of their lives, careers, and relationships includes "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Apple Blossom Time," and countless other hits that lifted the morale of many a WWII GI.

Featuring Kerri Jill Garbis, Laura DeGiacomo, Kimberly Robertson & Steve Gagliastro, Written by Beth Gilleland & Bob Beverage, Musical Arrangments & Continuity by Raymond Berg, Directed & Choreographed by Bobby Cronin.

      This was my first time to the Stoneham Theatre and I wasn't sure what to expect from a musical with four actors, a piano player and a band. However I was wonderfully suprised by not only the performance but the location! First the theatre is nicely restored, has reasonably priced refreshments and pleasant staff. The show, Sisters of Swing used new technology in an engaging and effective way to bring the life of the Andrews Sisters to the stage while not distracting from the musical numbers or witty monalogs. The singing talents of the three leads were spot on and the acting made the performance flow. The constant presence of the piano man and humorous male lead kept the play moving. You never got bored! (this is unique for me where I've fallen asleep in musicals before). The only thing I would recommend is having the band come out front or move the set to see the band at the end. They did a fabulous job! Collapse

      First, it you are looking for a cozy close to the stage setting the Stoneham Theatre is a great place to go -not a bad seat in the house. The Sisters of swing harken back to a time World War II when entertainment families held close to their Greek ethnic background and all were involved with the war even the entertainers. They often were hired by the services in war torn countries to provide a break for the troops. The story follows the career of these three beauties before, during, and after the war. The acting and singing is wonderful. However some of the songs do demonstrate that silly and stupid lyrics did not start in the 60's as your parents and grandparents would have you believe. Well worth the entertainment dollar both from a performance and historical viewpoint. Enjoy! Collapse

      I enjoyed the show. I loved the theatre, its size was ideal. I thought the actors did a great job. Parking was not the easiest to find.

      Singing was very good. The downside was the overbearing interference of the man. We thought a lot of that was not needed and would have liked more singing.

      This was my first time to the Stoneham Theatre and I wasn't sure what to expect from a musical with four actors, a piano player and a band. However I was wonderfully suprised by not only the performance but the location! First the theatre is nicely restored, has reasonably priced refreshments and pleasant staff.
