    David Hoose, conductor; Peter Zazofsky, violin. Concert includes: Béla Bartók "Violin Concerto No. 2", Beethoven "Prometheus Overture" and Edward Elgar "Symphony No. 1 in A-flat." Legendary violinist Roman Totenberg, beloved by thousands of students after more than four decades on the Boston University School of Music faculty, is honored on the occasion of his 100th birthday in Symphony Hall, a venue synonymous with musical excellence.
