    King of the Hill!
Gordon’s Fine Wines & Liquors Holds Special SomSmack Event with Two Beacon Hill Restaurants

This fall Gordon’s Fine Wines & Liquors is smashing the stereotype behind wine stewards and putting them into the ring during their ongoing wine tasting and dinner series, SomSmack.

On the October 21st, 2010, Cecilia Rait, Co-Proprietress and Wine Director of Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro and Todd Lipman, Sommelier at Bin 26, will step off of Charles Street and into Gordon’s Fine Wine and Culinary Center to battle their way through a four-course wine pairing. Unbeknownst to the menu, each sommelier will have exactly four minutes to find a wine that pairs with a surprise dish prepared by Chef Paul Turano of Tryst Restaurant. This special “fight night” will be action-packed as the two sommeliers wrestle their way through 4 courses and 8 wines (2 wines with each course) and into guests taste buds. At the end of the evening the audience will be the judge of who is the master of food & wine pairing. Who will be King of the Hill?
