Fall Workshops 2010



Last Chance! Registration Now Open for the Fall Session of Classes and Workshops from the novice to the advanced offered at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society. The Society is an approved venue to award Professional Development Points (PDP’s) to teachers for Mass. DOE certification.

An inspirational evening for budding authors illustrators and activists Ages 6 - 10

Take home a signed copy of: KIDS MAKE IT BETTER: A Write-In, Draw-in Journal and a Certificate of Participation

For Teens:



1. Lynne Fisher’s Teen Pottery Class which focuses on both wheel throwing and hand-built techniques, decorating and glazing high fire stone wear. Thursdays: September 2 - October 28, 6-8:30pm



2. Decorate Yourself, Decorate Your Stuff with Earth Friendly Accessorizing is a seven week series designed in three parts: Cut up Couture: Teen Fashion Class: Tuesdays: October 5 - November 16, 6:30 - 9pm; Ephemera: Out of the Attic, Into the Envelope (cardmaking) Saturday: October 16, 1-4pm and Decorate Your Stuff: Saturday, November 6, 10am - 4pm



3. Simple Woodworking Projects is a workshop for teens and adults to learn about working with wood and various tools to complete a Bird House and Feeder. Saturday: October 9, 10am to 3pm



These sessions are open to all teens but those who join our Junior Membership Program for the fee of $35.00 get to enjoy additional benefits such as reduced class fees and exhibiting in a show of their own.



For Adults:

1. Fun with Faux Finishes Workshop 1: Saturday, October 30, 10am - 4pm

3. Direct Approach Acrylic painting: Saturday, Nov. 6 & Sunday, Nov. 7, 10am – 4pm

4. Fun with Faux Finishes Workshop 11: Saturday, November 13, 10am - 4pm
