The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society Ceramics Guild and members of the classes. along with the Thursday evening Teen Pottery Class of the are involved in a very exciting project called “Soup Bowls for Hunger” with all proceeds going to the Lexington Interfaith Food Pantry. Last year the project contributed $1,750.00 to the Pantry.

They have created individual, hand-made, ceramic soup bowls that are microwave and oven safe. Each bowl comes with a card which includes project information and would make wonderful holiday gifts.

Bowls may be purchased at nourish, Lexington Center’s newest restaurant located at 1727 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington Center.Lexington starting November 1 through December 31 or as long as supply last.

A customer may, either purchase soup to be served in one of these special bowls and for additional $15 and they may take it home or they may just visit nourish and purchase the bowls.
Nourish will add the $5.00, cost of soup, and the total will be donated.

The artisans will continue to make bowls as they prepare for the Annual Holiday Marketplace which opens on December 3th at the Society located at 130 Waltham Street, Lexington.
