Frank London's A Night in the Old Marketplace
January 22, 2011
Capping off a weeklong residency, London and a cohort of collaborators present a theatrical work based on the legendary 1907 Yiddish play by I.L. Peretz featuring a score that mixes Jewish, jazz, world, rock, and classical music with abandon. London, an eclectic and prolific composer and musician, has pushed the boundaries of modern Jewish music for decades as leader of the Klezmatics and with numerous other genre-bending bands and projects.
