    The Garden

With the pulse of verité and the narrative pull of fiction, The Garden tells the story of the country’s largest urban farm: the miraculous 14-acre community garden in South Central LA that was founded as a healing project after the 1992 riots. When a wealthy developer’s’ plans threaten to level this oasis, a gripping tale of backroom deals, land developers, green politics, money, poverty, power, and racial discord unfolds. The film explores the fault lines in American society and raises challenging questions about liberty, equality, and justice for the poorest and most vulnerable among us.
