Boston Children's Chorus Fall Concert
November 13, 2010
Energy is a quantity that is often understood as the capacity to create or the ability to be active. Join the Boston Children’s Chorus’ Premier Choir and Young Men’s Ensemble as they explore spiritual, emotional and celestial energy in works by Palestrina, Tallis, Grau, Whitacre and will include the world premiere of “Love Says,” a new work by BCC Composer-in-Residence, Bill Banfield, based on texts by the late Sam Hanser. Join us as we ignite the fire within.
BCC is an award-winning children’s singing group with 10 choirs and singers ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old. Led by Artistic Director Anthony Trecek-King, Assistant Artistic Director Michele Adams and Neighborhood Choirs Directors Irene Idicheria and John Reynolds, they seek to harness the power and joy of music as a catalyst to unite our diverse communities and inspire social change. The group has performed at the Democratic National Convention, Gov. Deval Patrick’s Inauguration, with the Boston Pops; and has toured Jordan, Mexico, Japan, Chicago, New York and Oregon.
