A violin recital featuring the world premier of Leo Ornstein's (1893-2002) Third Violin Sonata. Composed in the 1920s, this composition was only recently discovered by his son, Severo. Also on this program is Ornstein's First Violin Sonata, Op. 26, Bach's E major Violin Sonata, and Schubert's A major Violin Sonata, Op. 162. On display at the recital will be first edition Schubert scores, an original Ornstein program from the 1910s, and a copy of the manuscript to the Third Violin Sonata. Gabriel Boyers, violin; Keith Kirchoff, piano
