    Stamp of Notoriety

During this stroll through Mount Auburn, Mount Auburn Docent Helen Lenane and Visitor Services Assistant Jim Gorman will explore the fascinating history and study of stamps on which Mount Auburn notables have had an impact. Find out how Dorothea Dix, Buckminster Fuller, Julia Ward Howe, and Winslow Homer, just to name a few, have been honored by commemorative postage stamps for their contributions to social reform, education, literature, art, and justice. We’ll talk about stamps, covers, and postmarks that relate to Mount Auburn’s notables.
