Add Review/Comment
This documentary sets out to identify the origin of Argentina’s soccer identity and its defining sociocultural elements. Taking you up close to the most important and exciting soccer events and clubs of the world: the classic match between Boca and River. But do these clubs represent the true identity of Argentine soccer?
Followed by: Lost Paradise (Paraiso perdido) (Lucas Guerra, Argentina, DigiBeta, color, 8 minutes). Boston based director Lucas Guerra explores the magic of an abandoned amusement park through the eyes of a child who discovers that the magic of the park is not all fun and games.
"Through a journalistic lens, Argentinian Soccer Club provides an intimate look into Argentina and its beloved sport to reveal an unparalleled passion that reverberates far beyond the pitch." —West Seattle Herald
