For its annual Bach at New Year’s event, Berkshire Bach Society presents a 20th Anniversary gala orchestra program celebrating Bach the Capellmeister, with the Berkshire Bach Ensemble, directed by Kenneth Cooper. Featured will be a bevy of great violinists, and a great flutist collaborating to give some of Bach’s most exciting works – and a little Telemann gem – that special twentieth anniversary touch. The unusual and festive Concerto for three violins is a spectacular showpiece for our distinguished soloists. To open and close the program, the Berkshire Bach Ensemble will perform its extra-special traditional versions of Brandenburg Concerti Nos. 1 and 3, with a few surprises.
