    The Concord Orchestra, Richard Pittman, conductor, presents its winter concert, “New Talent, New Work.” The featured soloist is Yoko Ellie Fukumura, the winner of the 2011 Ehler’s Young Artist Competition. She will perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto no. 1. Concert master Siri Smedvig will be the soloist in a world premiere of Bernard Hoffer’s Elegy for Solo Violin and String Orchestra.     The Concord Orchestra, Richard Pittman, conductor, presents its winter concert, “New Talent, New Work.” The featured soloist is Yoko Ellie Fukumura, the winner of the 2011 Ehler’s Young Artist Competition. She will perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto no. 1. Concert master Siri Smedvig will be the soloist in a world premiere of Bernard Hoffer’s Elegy for Solo Violin and String Orchestra. Also on the program is the Symphony No. 5 in E minor by Tchaikovsky. The runners up in the Young Artist Competition will give pre-concert recitals preceding each performance at 7:15.
