Animal Tracking at Quabbin
February 26, 2011
Add Review/Comment
The 85,000-acre Quabbin Wilderness is one of New England's natural treasures. Signs and tracks of many different animals are everywhere. Using these clues we will focus on the predator/prey relationship of bobcat, fisher, coyote and fox preying on snowshoe hare, porcupine, possum, raccoon, and a diverse nation of rodents. Pre-registration required. There will be moderate to strenuous off-trail hiking with some bushwhacking, so participants must be in good physical condition.
