    Our annual family concert features the winners of our Young Soloists’ competition: pianists Anna Larsen and Winston Huang and violinist Steven Ahn.

    Join the Newton Symphony Orchestra, the Newton All-City Orchestra, The Newton All-City Treble Singers, the Newton North High School Orchestra and the winners of the Newton Symphony Orchestra's concerto competition for a joyful celebration of music making across the generations. Beethoven’s first piano concerto: first movement, features pianist Anna Larsen, violinist Steven Ahn will play Ernest Bloch’s Nigun, and Liszt’s Totentanz spotlights pianist Winston Huang. All three students are residents of Newton, Larsen and Ahn both study in the New England Conservatory’s Preparatory department, while Huang is a student in the Longy School of Music's Preparatory department.

    Also featured are the Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach, Vivaldi’s Gloria: Laudamus Te, with the Newton, All-City Treble Singers and Sleigh Ride, by Leroy Anderson.
