    Acclaimed for "the fine, blue-flamed torch of her mind" (Ottawa Citizen) and "a dark tone with something analogous to the quality of a fine tawny port" (The Strad Magazine), Boston Conservatory viola faculty member Patricia McCarty has built a multi-faceted career since winning the First Silver Medal and Prix Radiophonique in the 1972 Geneva International Competition. Former Boston Symphony Orchestra assistant principal, she has performed as soloist and chamber musician on five continents and her recordings have received international accolades. Andrew Mark and Irina Muresanu, artistic directors. HUMMEL: Sonata in E-flat Major; SCHUBERT: Arpeggione Sonata; HINDEMITH: Sonata op. 11, No. 5; BARTOK: Roumanian Dances; JONGEN: Two works: TBA.
