ORPHANS follows the plight of two orphaned brothers living hand to mouth in Philadelphia. One supports them both by thieving on a daily basis. This tentative existence is interrupted by Harold, a middle-aged man whose sudden appearance propels the three men into a journey of self-discovery that irrevocably changes the status quo.

      The city of Portsmouth, NH is alive more than ever - even in February - a great reminder there are still pockets of artistic community among the masses of bland strip malls and big box stores.... Expand

      The city of Portsmouth, NH is alive more than ever - even in February - a great reminder there are still pockets of artistic community among the masses of bland strip malls and big box stores. Seacoast Rep it tucked among bustling boutiques, bars, restaurants and specialty shops - a gem of a theater in the heart of a town known for it's $2 parking and freedom of creative expression. And "Orphans" delivered on this promise with stunning performances by Bill Humphreys and Kent Burnham, and the subtle, comedic genious of Michael Propster in the endearing role of Philip. It's a story of two young men making the best of life the only way they know how, only to discover that a little positive encouragement makes a big difference. It's a great piece of theater that will make you laugh, make you wonder and most importantly remind you of what's important. Collapse
