CAST IRON CHEF: COOKING WITH CORN
A Vacation Week Family Program at the Jackson Homestead and Museum
In the past, families would have dried and stored their corn at harvest time, then eaten it through the winter. Come to Historic Newton to learn how corn was ground and cooked, and what kids might have done with the leftovers. We will make an edible snack out of corn, as well as a small toy for each child to take home.
