    "Srugim," Season 2

Presented by at Stuart Street Playhouse

    January 26, 2011

Join us for the first 3 episodes of Season 2 of this popular Israeli TV series. Plus, we'll have a drawing for prizes such as IPods and Sony Media Software. This TV series depicts the lives, loves and dilemmas faced by Modern Orthodox Jewish 30-something singles living in Jerusalem's Katamon neighborhood (known as "the swamp"). Moving out of their parents' homes -- before moving into the home of a husband or wife -- presents new challenges. The series has captivated Israelis of all religious persuasions in the same way that "Friends" enthralled Americans for a decade. ("Srugim" is the Hebrew word for crocheted kipot or head-coverings worn by modern Orthodox men).
