An Evening at the Kiln
Presented by Old Sturbridge Village at Old Sturbridge Village
September 10, 2011
|
The Old Sturbridge Village potters will fire up the massive 1830s 24-foot-high brick kiln to 1,900 degrees Fahrenheit to fire a year’s worth of vintage-style redware pottery hand-crafted at the museum. See the fire burning, smell the smoke, feel the heat, and enjoy the glowing bricks as the sparks fly and smoke billows into the darkening sky. For details: 800-733-1830; www.osv.org
