The Music Hall, the landmark Victorian theatre in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, will kick off Valentine’s Day Weekend with the elegant retro jazz vocalist Jane Monheit in concert Friday, February 11, 2011 at 8pm. The double Grammy nominee chanteuse with the honey voice has just released her tenth album - Home. She will be appearing with her accomplished trio: pianist Michael Kanan, bassist Neal Miner and her drummer husband, Rick Montalbano. According to Programming Manager Therese LaGamma, “We continue our annual Valentine’s Day tradition with sensational jazz vocalist, Jane Monheit who will no doubt be bringing a bit of romance to Portsmouth. This year, patrons are in for a treat – Jane Monheit will be tripping through the Great American Songbook.
