    Just a few months after graduating from Berklee College of Music, Liz Longley is already showing signs of becoming the next acoustic powerhouse. In this year alone, Liz was awarded the 2010 BMI John Lennon Scholarship, 2010 Grand Prize International Acoustic Music Award (amongst 9,000 entries), 2010 Chris Austin Songwriting Award and appeared at the Newport and Rocky Mountain Folk Festivals.

In this year alone, Liz was awarded the 2010 BMI John Lennon Scholarship, 2010 Grand Prize International Acoustic Music Award (amongst 9,000 entries), 2010 Chris Austin Songwriting Award and appeared at the Newport and Rocky Mountain Folk Festivals.

    In 2009, Longley garnered first place in the Rocky Mountain Folk Fest Songwriter Showcase, and was co-winner of the Mountain Stage New Song Contest, among many other honors. Liz is particularly highly regarded for her personal, emotionally engaging songwriting. She is actively touring throughout the East Coast and has opened for Shawn Colvin, Paula Cole, Nanci Griffith, Amos Lee, Colin Hay, Crowded House, Jesse Colin Young, Jonathan Edwards and Livingston Taylor.
