The recent “It Gets Better” campaign has shined a spotlight on the dangers faced by GLBT youth. The members of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus have committed to making it better through this concert to support our teens and everyone who has been affected by bullying and intolerance.

The program will create an inspiring vision of acceptance and courage with popular songs including Electricity from Billy Elliot, Defying Gravity from Wicked, Christina Aguilera’s Beautiful, Katy Perry’s Firework and Cyndi Lauper’s classic True Colors. The Chorus will also sing I Want More Life, based on the stunning, life affirming finale of Tony Kushner’s epic Angels in America. The featured work will be Jay Kawarsky’s Prayers for Bobby based on the book and TV movie. Faced to choose between her gay son and her fundamentalist religious beliefs, it tells a mother’s story of tragedy, change, and redemption. Join us and share your true colors.
