A musical comedy who-done-it? Set in Boston, a musical-theater loving police detective is called on to solve the murder of an unpopular and untalented stage star, and perhaps find love along the way.
Kander and Ebb's (Chicago and Cabaret fame) last collaboration, Curtains is a humorous and delightful valentine to Broadway theater. The company of this show-within-a-show is premiering in Boston, and things are not going well, especially when the leading lady gets mysteriously murdered. On to the scene comes one of Boston's finest, Lieutenant Frank Cioffi. As a musical theater buff, Cioffi is more than happy to take on the case. But he gets more than he bargains for: a tough Broadway producer and her ambitious daughter, a divorced composer and lyrist team who still have feelings for each other, a director at his wits end, and a chorus girl who has just found her leading man....and that's just the beginning! Full of great music, fabulous dance, and cast of wonderful characters. Curtains offers the best in musical theater that will entertain and delight audiences.

Curtains was a very entertaining evening out. The show had it all - humor, suspense, and great musical and production numbers. Praise to the cast. It is a very well-directed musical comedy.
