Kirtan—the ancient practice of singing the mantras of the Divine Names—comes from the Indian tradition of Bhakti Yoga, in which love is cultivated as a pathway to spiritual realization. Fusing these traditional Kirtan forms with Western harmonic and rhythmic sensibilities, Krishna Das’ signature chanting style is profound and joyous, a balm to our hearts. He travels the world, leading call-and-response Kirtans and sharing this deep, experiential practice with thousands of people.
