Joie de Vivre is the title of Violette's second album. It is most appropriate and harkens back to her first "official" commendation: the Joie de Vivre award she won in kindergarten. Influenced by Sarah Vaughan, Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Wonder, it's plain to see how shades of jazz, r&b, soul and gospel tint her music. While most of her songs are sung in English, a few are in her native French. The sophistication of the compositions and arrangements, as well as her incredible vocal range are truly unexpected in an artist at such an early stage of her career.
Project K-Paz is a musical collective specializing in spontaneous music: 100% pure improvisation. They create music in the moment, which is the sum of the musicians present. By living the art that is spontaneous music, the possibilities are endless.
Also appearing: Tom Howie. The 22-year-old guitarist and songwriter's soaring vocals and songwriting talents have drawn comparison to Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke.
