KENNY WERNER is a pianist of seemingly infinite capacity, and a Grammy-nominated composer as well, and an evening with Kenny is a lyrical (but never predictable) journey through the vast seas of improvised music. Kenny's all-star quintet featuring Randy Brecker, David Sanchez, Scott Colley, and Antonio Sanchez, has play together with magical interplay on the bandstand, as documented last April when they recorded live at the Blue Note in NYC. That CD will be released just days before this date at Scullers.
