Fresh Flowers
March 22-April 29, 2011
Add Review/Comment
As long as there have been flowers, there have been artists eager to paint them. Floral painting’s relevance continues to this day, whether the artist’s focus is on the colors, shapes, and translucency of petals, or on the many symbolic meanings flowers convey. This exhibition highlights amateur painters’ interpretation of this compelling genre. Organized by SVA Assistant Professor Dana Frankfort and guest curator Rodney Harder. Opening Reception: Wednesday, March 23, 5:30-7:30pm. Presented by the BU College of Fine Arts.
