The Bowery Presents Elvis Costello and the Imposters - "The Revolver Tour" at Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre on Friday, May 20th.

For the first time in 25 years, Costello will let his set-list be chosen by ”The Spectacular Spinning Songbook”, a monumental game-show wheel that features 40 song-titles, including hits, rarities and very unexpected covers.

Audience members will be invited onstage where they may spin "The Wheel" and then be offered a chance to enter the "Hostage to Fortune Go-Go Cage", while their selection is performed. Alternatively, they may choose to take a seat in the on-stage “Society Lounge”, where light refreshments will be served, during what promises to be a splendid and surprising evening.

The original Wheel was famously donated to the Hartlepool Museum Of Showbusiness Machinery but it has been meticulously reconstructed from the original blueprints.

The Imposters are: Steve Nieve (keyboards); Pete Thomas (drums) and Davey Faragher (bass).

      I too had the fortune of seeing Elvis perform this very same show at the Harvard Hockey rink back in 1986. I remember Nick Lowe opening up for Elvis. Fast forward to this show, it sounded better then... Expand

      All of those 25 years ago, I was fortunate enough to see Mr. McManus perform his set according to the wheel. I recall having a great time, as I was, and still am, an avid fan. Flash forward to 2011,... Expand

      All of those 25 years ago, I was fortunate enough to see Mr. McManus perform his set according to the wheel. I recall having a great time, as I was, and still am, an avid fan. Flash forward to 2011, complete with rumors of a world ending cataclysm, I took my seat in the 4th row center pit. Thirty seconds into the first song, I was quite sure that I had chosen the right thing to do with my final night on Earth. My 18 yr old son and I shared one of the finest performances of Mr. Costello's career. Every selection, planned or otherwise, was played to polished perfection. The atmosphere was light and fun while audience members spun the wheel and took a seat at the "Society Lounge" or danced in "The Cage". Costello served as MC of the gameshow(including an accepted marriage proposal by a fan to her date) that lasted roughly 2.5 hours. Many hits were played along with the more obscure. They were all wonderful choices. Mr. Peter Wolf stepped in during the first encore. Magnificent Collapse
