Waiting for Godot
April 14 - April 16, 2011
Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club presents... Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot"!
Directed by Jan Luksic
Produced by Andrew Shindi, Jennifer Ingersoll, and Milorad Dragicevic
What are Vladimir and Estragon waiting for? Godot, they say - he might be their long lost friend, their chief, a man whose authority they long for, or God himself.
In this staging we will approach Beckett's iconic play by drawing our focus on the anxiety and resentment born out of a state of perpetuated uncertainty. Our production will highlight the anger and the suppressed fury of the two comrades as they struggle to maintain hope in a context of almost ritualized deferment.
