Michael Tougias is an award-winning author of 18 books, including King Philip's War: The History and Legacy of America's Forgotten Conflict, and Until I Have No Country , a fictional account of the war.

Many people, even New Englanders, are unaware that the 1675-76 conflict known as King Philip's War was proportionately the most devastating war in U.S. history. It lasted little more than a year, beginning in Plymouth Colony and spreading all across New England . Though colonial forces ultimately prevailed, the war destroyed families and communities both native and colonist throughout the region.

Tougias's presentation will focus oon the backdrop and the events leading up to the war as well as on military strategy and battles fought.
