    The Footlight Club in Jamaica Plain will perform the rock opera “Rent” starting April 1 and running through April 16. Based on Puccini’s opera "La boheme,""Rent" tells the story of young artists and musicians struggling under the black cloud of HIV/AIDS while living in Manhattan’s East Village in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
