Did you know Boston is 47% water? Considering all of this H2O and the desire for creative adventure here in the city, isn't it time to imagine FUN ways to float?

Spring is just around the corner and the Boston Redevelopment Authority, in partnership with channel landowners, nonprofit and cultural leaders, and residents have just established the award winning Fort Point Channel Watersheet Activation plan. A plan which secures a dynamic vision of recreation, cultural activity and diverse year-round programming.

With this in mind, SHIFTboston invited architects and designers from around the world to explore the concept of floating using the channel as the context for experimentation and exploration. Over one hundred visions have been received from twenty states and twelve countries. Join us and a number of local leaders in the arts, architecture, government, business and academics for a presentation of these exciting proposals.
