The Concord Chamber Music Society presents a program of traditional American folk tunes, fiddle songs and dances performed by the Sail Away Ladies. Members of the Sail Away Ladies, a ground-breaking acoustic trio, have earned a reputation for their skillful improvisation on traditional folk melodies and world music, and their modern repertoire that combines familiar tunes with an adventurous flair certain to delight music lovers of all ages. The Family Concert will be an interactive event that will inspire audience members to sing along, pipe in with observations and questions, and there may even be a "sit-down" square dance added to the mix. There will also be an opportunity to meet with the musicians after the concert, see their instruments, and hear about their musical interests and studies. Refreshments will be available. Admission to the concert is $15 for adults and free for children under age 12 who are accompanied by an adult. Admission also includes free access to the Emerson Umbrella's Open Studios.
