Add Review/Comment
The Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra will be performing their debut concert in Jordan Hall on Sunday, April 17th at 8 pm under the direction of Francisco Noya. The concert will be a showcase of Berklee talent. Artists-in-Residence Patrice Rushen and Daniel Bernard Roumain will be leading the orchestra in their own repertoire. We will feature the winners of our Concerto Competition, Sonya Belousova in the Finale of Shchedrin's Piano Concerto #1, and saxophonist Alexey Sokolov will perform the Glazunov Saxophone Concerto. In addition, the Composition Competition winner, Arturo Cardelus, will premiere a movement of his Piano Concerto. Selections from Michael Daugherty's "Metropolis Symphony" will round out this showcase. The concert is free and open to the public. Jordan Hall is located at New England Conservatory, 30 Gainsborough Street, in Boston. Special thanks to Katie and Paul Buttenweiser for their visionary support of the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra.
