April 16, 2011
Add Review/Comment
This presentation focuses on Frank Lloyd Wright’s Zimmerman House in Manchester, New Hampshire, within the context of his body of work, specifically his Usonian house designs. When the Zimmermans contacted Wright, he was in his early 80s and enjoying one of his most productive years as an architect. Jane Seney of the Currier Museum of Art, which owns the house, shows how architect, client, and apprentice worked together to achieve a modern masterpiece that Wright never saw but said he knew "from A to Z." An optional tour of the Gropius House is offered after the program.
