“And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.” Many monuments at Mount Auburn are adorned with quotations from the great English poet and playwright, William Shakespeare, and several theatre actors are among our distinguished residents. Join Susan Zawalich for this tour to honor the 447th birthday of The Bard of Avon. We will visit the gravesites of Edwin Booth, Charlotte Cushman and others while searching out examples of the Shakespearian verse that adorns monuments at the Cemetery. We’ll also recite some of Shakespeare’s memorable words in our beautiful spring setting. “The readiness is all.”
