Aardvark will celebrate the Charles Sumner Bicentennial with the world premiere of Harvey’s piece Sumner, in honor of his ancestor Charles Sumner (1811-1874), distinguished US senator from Massachusetts and leading advocate for freedom and equal rights for African Americans. Also on tap: Harvey’s piece SQCPi, written for the MIT Sesquicentennial, other Mark Harvey originals, and Duke Ellington’s Freedom and Come Sunday.
