    Pops 2011: Shall We Dance?

    The Concord Orchestra, Richard Pittman, conductor, presents its annual pops concert, “Shall We Dance?” Jazz singer Marlene VerPlanck will be the soloist in a world premiere of Bernard Hoffer’s Oooh, Brazil! a medley of bossa nova songs. She also will perform a set of jazz standards arranged by her late husband, Billy VerPlanck. The orchestra will continue with light classics, concluding with The Stars and Stripes Forever. ...
