HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TRISTAN TZARA SUNRISING is hosting a musical performance in honor of late Franco-Romanian poet, performance artist, and Dada founder Tristan Tzara at the Cambridge YMCA on what would be his 115th birthday, Saturday, 16 April 2011.

Appearing onstage will be Boston math-rock legends TRISTAN DA CUNHA in their penultimate live performance; Jamaica Plain electro-tribal sunshine artist MANY MANSIONS; Granite State filmmakers and rappers of everyday life THE SUPER-SECRET PROJECT; and a special spoken word engagement by omnipresent Allston polymath D. L. POLONSKY, in addition to a rare personal appearance by Boston prog-surf / jazz-rock adventurers SUNRISING.

Doors are at 5:30 in the afternoon, with music commencing at about 6p and wrapping up at 10:25 sharp, as are the house rules at the Y. Admission is $7, there may be grilled cheese sandwiches.
