Ruth Lingford, Professor of the Practice of Animation and Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Harvard Department of Visual and Environmental Studies, will talk about why animation is taught, how it complements and interacts with other disciplines, and how it can be used to communicate ideas. Lingford’s presentation will be illustrated with examples of students’ work featuring a variety of animation techniques and subjects.
